Right On: From Blues to Soul in Black America - Michael Haralambos.

Originally published in 1974, Haralambos presents the results of his field research in Chicago, Detroit, New York and Minneapolis. He investigates the blues and soul phenomenon from the perspective of Black Americans who perform and listen to the music. The data comes from observations in bars, clubs, theatres and radio stations, and from interviews singers, musicians and disc jockeys.
